Mr. Gabriel Mitchell addressed the Mackinder Forum Seminar on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, US. He discussed "Geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean: Natural Gas Deposits, Pipelines, and Conflict over Maritime Jurisdictions."
Gabriel Mitchell is the Director of External Relations at the Mitvim Institute. He is also a PhD candidate in Government & International Affairs at Virginia Tech University, and his dissertation focuses on the impact of offshore energy development on the formation of Israeli foreign policy in the Eastern Mediterranean. Gabriel previously operated as Mitvim's representative in Washington DC, was research fellow at Hudson Institute and Shalem College, and was selected as a 2017-2018 SAFE Energy Security Fellow. He holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and an M.A. from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
